Luna
was our second Irish Wolfhound and she came to live with us because
we thought that Clifford needed someone his own size to play with!
It was through Luna that we got started in the conformation ring.
After enough comments of "you should show that dog",
we decided to give it a try. Luna got her Canadian Championship
with ease - she was an easy dog to show and won numerous best
puppy in group and group placements in very limited showing. She
was entirely owner handled and was our learning dog - I always
say that she won "in spite of me". Luna exhibits that
quiet dignity that is truly what owning an Irish wolfhound is
all about. She never took to lure-coursing - she just could never
understand why all those dogs got so excited over a plastic bag
- but is at her happiest when running for the sheer joy of it!
